Northern Lights, winner of the Camera d’Or for Best First Feature at the 1979 Cannes International Film Festival and many other prizes around the world, is a classic American independent film. Originally released in 1978, this is the new 4K restoration produced in 2024.
Against a backdrop of a bitter winter on the Dakota prairie and the equally brutal economic forces of 1915, a story unfolds which pits small Midwestern farmers against “the powers that be” – bankers, railroad men, big grain dealers and an entrenched political machine. Based on the fictional diary of farmer Ray Sorenson (Robert Behling), Northern Lights chronicles the struggle of these small farmers as they fight to save their farms, their families and their very way of life.

Today, 91% of our fish is imported and the U.S. is flooded with six billion tons of imported seafood. Consumers across America eat blissfully unaware of where their seafood is from or the dire consequences that a demand for five species of fish sourced from distant oceans brings to our shores. FISH & MEN exposes the high cost of cheap fish in the modern seafood economy and the forces threatening local fishing communities and public health by revealing how our choices as consumers drives the global seafood trade. But, a new movement is underway – an opportunity to return sustainability to both fish and fishermen. Thriving on local communities, pioneering fishermen and celebrated chefs are leading a revolutionary new model, a ‘Catch of the Day’ revival based on local, seasonal, sustainable fish - introducing consumers to discover new varieties of storied seafood and reconnect us with those who risk their lives to harvest the bounties of the sea.

Told through the eyes of Grammy-nominated music producer, DJ and environmental toxicologist, Jayda Guy, accompanied by a score from the Wu-Tang Clan's RZA and featuring Seu Jorge, Blue Carbon is an environmental documentary that brings together music and science to uncover what could be one of our greatest weapons in the fight against climate change. Filmed in the USA, Senegal, Vietnam, France, Colombia and Brazil, the documentary explores the latest science around the relatively newly-discovered potential of coastal ecosystems to help remove carbon from our atmosphere. This "Blue Carbon" as scientists are now calling it, can be found in salt-marshes, sea-grasses and mangroves, but once again it is a race against time to protect and restore these vital ecosystems and to harness their untold power in the battle against global warming. Punctuated with stunning encounters with the natural world - such as the Florida manatee, humpback whales and the American crocodile - and uncovering the unlikely, local heroes at the heart of conservation, the film provides a much-needed ray of hope in troubling times.

BRING THEM HOME is a short, 30 minute documentary about discarded American heroes, deported military veterans.
World War II was fought on many fronts. One of them was film. “Filming Under Fire: John Ford’s OSS Field Photo Branch” tells the story of how six-time Academy Award-winning director John Ford and many of its leading filmmakers - including cinematographers Harold Rosson, Gregg Toland, and Joe August; screenwriter Budd Schulberg and actor Sterling Hayden - contributed to America’s victory in World War II through their service in the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) Field Photographic Branch. They conducted surveillance. They made training films. They shot combat. They created films to boost Americans’ morale and to demoralize the enemy. General Eisenhower said that if it did nothing else, the intelligence gathered by the Field Photographic Branch in advance of D-Day alone justified OSS's creation. At the war’s conclusion, it gathered evidence that was instrumental in convicting the Nazi High Command at Nuremberg. This film is a tribute to their heroic efforts; to Hollywood’s contribution to America’s victory in World War II; and to the enduring power of film in the never-ending struggle for freedom and human dignity - a timely reminder as the free world once again confronts autocratic forces.
